Step outside of the high-resolution resource pack loop with the ultra-minimal OGZCraft resource pack. This simple and straightforward resource pack is designed to further improve your gameplay performance and minimize distractions and the flair of Minecraft. Those realistic or high-resolution resource packs are great for an upgraded experience within Minecraft, but can be extremely taxing on your computer. Especially gamers that have older or outdated machines might find that many resource packs are too demanding for their computers. This heavily limits the customization ability for your next Minecraft gaming experience. Luckily, there are developers that focus on low-resolution resource packs such as OGZCraft to provide a range of new updates to Vanilla Minecraft. This is the first resource pack made by OGZ, but their long-term experience using other resource packs and with the Minecraft game allows for precision and optimization. As mentioned, the resource pack is designed to optimize performance across all machines. This was able to be achieved by the use of the 8x resolution version of Minecraft. Keep in mind that 8x is half of the default Vanilla Minecraft resolution. This means that if your computer can handle Vanilla, then it can easily process OGZCraft.
One of the main features of the visuals of this resource pack is that it stays true to the default Minecraft experience. Many of the textures and designs are kept simple and even have a reduced amount of flashy details and elements. It seems like a challenge to have the default textures downscaled to a lower resolution, but OGZ has taken the time and effort to make the game seem familiar and similar to Vanilla with 8x resolution textures. The developer noted that many of the design uniqueness comes from the updated paintings that are available in the Minecraft world. All of the paintings have been made to reflect the characters and designs from the 8-bit Pokémon universe. This is a welcome crossover between the two games and adds a little personality to this resource pack. This resource pack is constantly being updated and upgraded to meet the latest versions of Minecraft. The most recent update has been to the Nether and the textures within that realm of Minecraft.

- Download this resource pack. – You should download a ZIP file
- Now launch Minecraft and go to Options. – Make sure to open Minecraft: Java Edition
- Click on the “Resource Packs…” button.
- Drag and drop downloaded ZIP file into Minecraft window.
- The new resource pack should be in your “Available” list of packs.
