To install resource packs in Minecraft 1.12.2 and 1.11.2, it is not very hard! A pack in 1.12 and 1.11 can be installed in 3 ways, basic, MCPatcher HD and Optifine HD method. The first method is recommended for resource packs that are 8×8 or 16×16 in resolution, and the other two methods are recommended for packs HD, with resolution up to 32×32 to 512×512! I hope you understand the what about the resolution, and you need to install any packs. See below for the 3 methods!
Installation tutorial:
Basic:
- Download the latest pack from the download section.
- Run Minecraft, select “Options…”, select “Resource Packs”, select “Open resource pack folder”.
- Drag and drop the downloaded pack into the resource pack folder.
- Go back to Minecraft and select the Faithful 32×32 pack and you are done.
MCPatcher HD method:
- Download the latest pack from the download section or the customizer.
- Run Minecraft, select Resource Packs, select “Open resource pack folder”.
- Drag and drop the downloaded pack into the resource pack folder.
- Go back to Minecraft and select the Faithful 32×32 pack.
- Close Minecraft.
- Download the latest MCPatcher HD
- Run MCPatcher.
- Hit the Patch Button.
- Close MCPatcher and you are done.
Optifine HD method:
- Download the latest Faithful.
- Go to Start > Accessories > Run.
- Type in %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin and hit enter.
- Drag and drop the downloaded texture pack into the resource packs folder.
- Find and download a suitable version of OptiFine HD
- Open the bin folder.
- minecraft.jar with an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc).
- Delete META-INF.
- Open the downloaded OptiFine.
- Drag and drop the contents of the OptiFine download into the open minecraft.jar.
- Close both the OptiFine and minecraft.jar windows.
- Run Minecraft.
- Select Options > Animations
- Click both Lava and Water until they both say Dynamic and you are done.

its in the folder but its not there
